Subsea Back Pressure Regulators (BPR)
Our subsea back pressure regulators (BPR) are anti-siphoning, self-regulating devices that help to prevent the uncontrolled delivery of chemicals into production wells.
SkoFlo’s Subsea Back Pressure Regulator
Overview
SkoFlo Back Pressure Regulators (BPR) are self-regulating devices that activate when well pressure falls below the device's factory set point. This is achieved with a simple, debris-tolerant mechanical design that doesn't need power or communication.
By creating back pressure in chemical injection lines, our BPR models also prevent chemicals from draining into injection points when a chemical hydrostatic head exceeds the injection pressure and production wells become sub-ambient.
Applications
SkoFlo BPRs are designed to be installed on subsea trees, manifolds, logic caps, and Multi Quick Connect (MQC) plates.
Benefits
Full Pressure Drop
SkoFlo BPRs are designed to handle the FULL pressure drop throughout the entire rated flow range under continuous operation with minimal wear to internal components.
Two Stage Design
Utilizing two stages allows for larger fluid paths, resulting in a higher debris tolerance, longer device life, and lower design and operating pressures of topside chemical injection systems. Cavitation is also reduced or eliminated by separating the pressure drop across two stages.
